Carita Alvis
My name is Carita the Proud Owner & Educator of PLW! I qualified extensions in 2010 when I was pregnant with my first child as a second source of income and so I was able to prioritise my family life around my work and have more time with my son.
It was only in 2013 I trained in 'Braidless Weaves' also known as 'LA weave and Celebrity Weaves', as they were quite new on the market & I fell in love with them, the natural flow, the thickness and how they're was NO damage to my natural hair at all. I knew they would change the game. And they have!
I scrapped every other method I learned and made a new business solely on this weave technique and never looked back!
In 2019 I then decided to become a level 3 qualified educator and passed my exams to be able to teach. Here we are! A fully accredited training academy! Teaching others how to apply extensions safely, flawlessly with the BEST hair on the market.
I have won many awards over the years including 3x Hair Extension Technician of the year and UK Top 30 Hair Extension Salon 2023. PLW has featured in publications such as Surrey magazine, Chelsea Weekly! I have also been asked to do public speaking and Hosted Networking Business Brunches.
